Send your deposit to confirm your place.
STEP 3
Make your Final Payment
When your pet portrait is finished, I’ll invoice you for the balance. You make the payment and then I’ll ship your portrait to you.

Note: Your drawing will fit comfortably within the paper size you choose. Prices are for a single pet – for multiple pets within one portrait, please add 20% per additional pet. Prices are in US dollars.

Special Occasions and Gifts
If you want to have a portrait before a specific date, like a birthday or Christmas, please get in touch with me as soon as possible. Or if you want a gift card for a special occasion, contact me ASAP. That way I can be sure that I can fit it into my schedule, and get the gift card to you. I’ll answer promptly, confirming the timing.
When you decide to go ahead, you can make a 50% deposit to confirm your booking — the balance is due when your portrait is finished. When I receive your payment, I’ll ship it to you. Payment for Gift cards is due when you order them.

Will your Photos Make a Good Pet Portrait?
A Quick “No and Yes Test”
When I’m creating your pet portrait, a tremendously important piece is the photos you give me. That’s how I get to know your pet. When the photo is good, I’ll be able to put your pet’s unique personality into the portrait I create.
Your pet’s eyes tell a lot about his or her personality. Creating the eyes accurately really brings the pet to life in a portrait. If the photo is blurry, or too dark, or too bright, or doesn’t show all of the pet’s face, it won’t work for your portrait.

A Quick “Yes” Test
Look at the photos you have. If you can answer, “Yes” to most of these questions, you probably have a good reference photo:
- ✓ Sharp and expressive eyes
- ✓ Natural and even lighting – Not too bright, not a lot in dark shadows
- ✓ You can easily see your pet’s features
- ✓ A natural pose
- ✓ Your pet’s unique personality shows
- ✓ A high resolution photo
- ✓ It’s not blurry
Why does a good photo matter?
A good quality photo helps me create a portrait that feels like your pet.
When I create your pet’s portrait, I look very carefully at the reference photos you’ve sent to me. I especially look for: Accurate eye color, coat color, and markings. I look for realistic fur texture, and details around the face.
For example, do they:
- Capture your pet’s unique expression and personality
- Reproduce accurate eye color, coat color, and markings
- Show realistic fur texture and facial details
- Create natural proportions
Good reference photos also reduce guesswork. Instead of filling in missing details, I can focus on creating a beautiful, lifelike portrait of your pet.
